well i've had the album for 10 days or so, and i think it's fabulous. seems a natural progression after smyt. in a very similar vein, but even more country. i like it alot. who needs a new pixies album, when you've got material such as this coming out.

I agree, fabulous album. It was released during our wintertime and it is perfect for these hazy late afternoons.

Hey everyone, I haven't posted in a VERY, VERY long time, and seeing as "Honeycomb" has been released recently, I thought this would be a good time to make a post.
What can I say, except brilliant. Frank's albums just get better and better. Jon Tiven's production works well, Frank's voice is in fine form, very natural sounding, and the music is amazing. And ya can't go wrong with Steve Cropper on guitar!!!
The album also sounds good. Great engineering. Frank's writing is top notch on this album, too. And I can't get "I Burn Today" out of my head!!! And that's a GOOD thing!!! :) I also like "Lone Child", "Atom In My Heart", and "Another Velvet Nightmare" (Velvet seems to be a recurring theme in Frank's lyrics).
Well, just wanted to put in my 2 cents on this fine album, and I hope everyone else is enjoying it as much as me.
Rock On, Chris.
