Passion, although I hate to disagree with something you've said, how do we know you're not the Realist? You seem to have a similar personality in that you both seemed to show up at the same time with one agenda; bashing everyone possible and spamming up the board? The only differnce is, when Cult threatened to lock people out for being dicks, the Realist disappeared, and you suddenly got nice? It would seem pretty logical, you being the one to "call out" the Realist with your initial "Realist's Stupid Quiz" post. Why would we suspect you, you want to know who he is worse than we do right?

I wish I could provide more answers, but I don’t have them. I’ve told you all what I know. I honestly want no part of this “who is the Realist/The Realist’s Stupid Contest baloney”, but I felt obligated since I was the contest winner.
Passion. Here is your Realist description. I’m not entirely convinced that this person was the Realist, but she had my golden ticket. Maybe the Realist had someone pretending to be the Realist for the ticket pick up? Who knows. I guess wouldn’t be surprised, but why would the Realist go to so much trouble? Anyway, the Realist is very short. I’d say a little over 5ft tall? I was at least a head taller than her or so. She was wearing what I thought to be an excessive amount of make up for a Mc Donald’s employee. The Realist has blond hair. One thing that sticks in my mind, other than how young she was, were her stubby fingers. As she was handing the ticket to me I remember thinking to myself how stubby they were. No clue what her eye color was or any other details, but I could pick her out of a line up.
Sorry my damn roommate ShaunWestphal has taken a liking to you Passion. You need a roommate? I wasn’t suggesting I’d move in with you. Actually I was wondering if you’d take damn roommate ShaunWestphal off my hands. |

I agree that the Realist has disappeared, but I don't think I've been "nice" to anyone, least of all you. And I'm certainly not bowing to Cult or Dave No(sense of humor). I just want answers to the Realist's quiz. I think (s)he defrauded me.
You are trying to confuse the issue. You're just like John Kerry, flip-flopping and always trying to blame someone else. Well, it's not going to work here. We're too smart for that sort of tomfoolery here.
The stock market just closed for the week. I don't have time to waste on arguing over who is or isn't the Realist. I have just been calling her or him out once a day to try to get the answers to the quiz. And you and Chislic are pulling John Kerry tactics to try to deflect attention away from yourselves. Well, you will fail, just like John Kerry will in November. Flip-flopper. |

I very much appreciate your insight/concern. While I agree with you that Chislic and my relationship of late has been a bit dysfunctional, it hasn't always been that way. Our friendship goes way back (like 7 or 8 years) to college in SD when Chizzy was an unknown and unloved freshman. I took it upon myself (because I felt bad for him) to introduce him to all things great (i.e., booze, chicks and the Pixies). I think he's a little nervous/upset about the fact that I introduced him to the band responsible for any of this discussion. That to me explains his hostility on the board. He figures if he's mean enough to me, and gets as many people as possible on his side, that I'll to quote El Passion "take my ball and go home." Wrong Chizzy, your game is up, admit it, if it weren't for me, you'd be in line for tickets to the next Dave Matthews concert at the Target Center and still worshiping at the altar of Scott Stapp.

Yes it does, but I'm formulating a new theory regarding who is whom.
Here's my current theory:
Before the Pixies played Mpls, and jackanapes and Passion first started posting, Passion referred to him/her as "Jacka". Now, when I see the username "jackanapes", I assume it's probably someone called Jack Anapes. How would Passion know to call him/her "Jacka" since it is a very uncommon name. When Chislic posted that copy of the e-mail from The Realist, Jacka Nappes, that was the first time I've ever seen the name Jacka.
So...jackanapes = The Realist = The Passion of El Diablo.
What about that?

I noticed the same thing you noticed about the Realist's email. Not to stick up for him (the Realist), but if I remember right, it was the Realist and Jackanapes that originally exchanged words (remember Jacka calling the Realist a "douche" and all that). I think the Realist probably thought he was being funny (I know I haven't stopped laughing) when he created the pixiestrivia account at hotmail under the name "Jacka Napes." That's also just a theory though. I still think Chislic needs to be investigated further, I might have to get on that tonight. (Oh shit, he's probably gonna read that)

It would be pretty funny if we did, I agree. You have blown our cover though. As it turns out, Chislic and I are actually on very good terms. While most of our postings happen away from each other (when we are at our respective careers), we do have a yuk or two nightly about whatever harsh words/accusations we've fired back and forth that day. This doesn't however clear my supsicions of the chance/likelihood that Chislic is indeed the Realist.

To clear the air on "Jacka," I was calling 'napes "Jicky Jack" at first, and then (s)he posted something about a Jackanapes being someone who is a mischief-maker. Jicky Jack said that (s)he called his little kid Jackanapes and that is why (s)he took it as her/his username.
I, being the grammar freak that I am, checked Jicky Jack's work and realized that -- according to the American Heritage Dictionary, 4th Ed., the definitive source of grammar rules and usage -- Jicky Jack was actually calling his kid a "prig", a "stupid fool", and a "jackass." Normally, I would correct a grammatical error made by someone on the board, but I decided not to, 'cuz I like the fact that Jicky Jack is accidentally defaming his kid on a nightly basis.
I started calling him "Jacka" on occasion, 'cuz I didn't want to say just "Jack", but I wanted to encourage his use of the vulgar nickname for his kid. I have no clue why Jicky Jack or the Realist used "Jacka" on the pixiestrivia account. That one's a mystery to me. For more on the word JACKANAPES, follow this link.

Two things, all,
(1) As far as I can tell (and, Realist, please correct me if I'm wrong), it is only possible to get 46 out of 50 on the quiz in an objective sense. Four of the questions are clearly subjective "mind-reading"-type questions, unanswerable with any amount of research.
(2) I know that I had 45 correct out of the plausibly determinable 46 possible. I may have even had the 46th correct, but I was unable to determine its correctness for sure. It is possible that I missed the one in dispute, and that Chislic got the 45 correct that I did, plus the one I possibly missed. But I have a business degree from Harvard, so I doubt that he got as many of the plausibly attainable correct answers as I did.
(3) The Realist claims that I got 2 out of 3 at best. That would mean that, by her/his tally, I got 33-34 out of 50. And I can definitely verify that he is lying about that. This is exactly what makes me suspect that he is lying about other things: (a) his own identity, (b) Chislic winning the contest, and (c) even having a real contest in the first place. |

| Well, I know that "the Realist" is a liar. Chislic got "the Realist"'s ticket, so Chislic is not trustworthy. And you live with Chislic, so I have to proceed not trusting you, either. I'm not saying that you have any part in this . . . I'm just saying that I have my suspicions. And, thus, I won't be sharing my answers till the Realist posts on this thread and responds to the charges being made against him by certain unnamed persons, namely me. |

Who or where is the Realist??? Based on the theory that the guilty party tends to return to the scene of the crime, I’ve compiled my list of suspects in order of my suspicion. To be fair I’ve listed my name. Any thoughts?
1. jackanapes- His name appeared on the email the Realist sent me. I didn’t notice that until Cal pointed it out.
2. Daisy Girl- The person who handed me the ticket was a girl. Nuff said.
3. The Passion Of El Diablo- Started this “Realist Stupid Quiz” business.
4. joshuagingery- He’s an angry man. His anger & negativity remind me of the Realist.
5. ShaunWestphal- Roommate of the contest winner. Maybe he is playing a joke on me & allowed me to win his contest?
6. The Calistanian - You seem like a pretty good guy. The type of good guy who would have a contest to give away a ticket to a fan. Hmmmm.
7. otto_jr - Much like otto_Sr. you can’t be trusted.
