OK.... this is the best optical illusion i have ever seen. yes i have checked it out myself too, and it's all true. i challenge you all to find a better one.

| if you don't believe it, then you can open it up in paint (obviously if you have something more sophisticated like photoshop then that) and use the pick color tool (or whatever it may be called) to pick out the colours on the A and B square and find out they're the same. |

man, several people have a had a weirdo reaction to this illussion... "i don't get it"
the point of the thing is, they DON'T look the same... but they are. that's the illusion! what's so hard to get?
it's so brilliant because we see them as such different shades of grey, it's quite hard to believe they're the same.. but they are. |

Apart from the green and white background, how many colors can you see?
It may look as if the two arms of the 'X' use different shades of pink, but in fact the whole X only uses a single color.
(This is another example of optical tricks that the Impressionist painters used) |

Geez, I figured out why I couldn't tell they were the same shade before...the caption said "grey", and I was thinking it said "gray". How dumb!

I got the F's one right the first time I did it and therefore I do everytime I do it again.
Apl's illusion is right, they are the same. You can actually see that one if you look hard enough.
