In my car I felt like the Trompe mix gave slightly extra details on some high end sounds like a few bg vocals, guitar sounds, etc. But its possible I'm just noticing it cause I haven't listened to it in a while too. The main sound of it all seems the same though to me.

My copies sound similar to these rips when listening on my turntable. They aren't final polished produced songs, they are roughs/demos.
I understand that, but the distortion sounds like vinyl or transferring distortion to me and not like a demo quality thing. Demos aren't usually distorted, despite being of lower than studio quality. We have other Pixies demos and rarities that do not have distortion, etc.
