What are some of your other favorite bands? I'm looking to find new music and I figured you guys would have similiar tastes.
If you're interested, I highly suggest Mates of State. Guy and a girl, just drums and organ. I've always liked vocal harmonies (mostly Frank and Kim) and they've perfected it.

Beatles, Steel Pole Bath Tub, Minutemen, Ween, They Might Be Giants, Fugazi, Tom Waits, Brainiac, Wire, Rocket From the Crypt, Naked Raygun, Led Zeppelin, the Kinks, and the Didjits.
If anyone were to like every last one of those bands, you speak my language.

I must agree, in an act of contrition, that Wire is a tasty lil' band. I have yet to get into their newest ep's, but 154 is dee-lish. And the cover art makes me feel like getting half of my hair buzzed, and the other half spiked. |

Posting twice in a row is tres faux pas, but I'm still around, so who wants to listen? A band which I have been recently listening to is the Walkmen. I would describe them as Interpol sleeping with U2, in a completely heterosexual way, if such a thing is possible. The offspring of a such a union would surely be the Walkmen, which is surprisingly a good thing. Oh, and if anyone here doesn't already, go to www.pitchforkmedia.com for your daily music fix. This is really the only resource you need. Just don't read their reviews of Frank's last few, they're really criminal, man, with no virtue. But their strands are not at all minimal. |

Chairs Missing (by Wire) rules! Try Stooges, Mission of Burma, Big Black, Shonen Knife, Sonic Youth, Throwing Muses, Melvins, etc. All of the above have albums in my top ten list. |
