i'm not a huge metalhead, but i do enjoy some heavy shit from time to time. dillinger escape plan, mudvyane, and fantomas recently. regarding mudvayne, don't dismiss them unless you've given them a good listen. they write some incredible songs. |

Are Korn still considered heavy, or has it gone beyond that now?

Maiden rocks. As does Ministry, System, Sabbath, Metallica and Slayer. |

Black Flag is about as heavy as I'll go. Great fusion of punk and metal.

Suicidal Tendencies were great back in the day. Saw them at L'Amour "The Rock Capitol Of Brooklyn" in 1988. I think I'm still sweating from that night.

The new QOTSA album rocks, as does the new Audioslave LP..... The best heavy album in the last 10 years though is the first RATM album.... fucking kick ass! |

System of a Down and Queens of the Stone Age rock.
The first Rage album is awesome too. I'm not to fond of their albums past Evil Empire.

LiMp bIzKeT rUleZ! Haha, j/k.
Actually, I'm eagerly awaiting Edge of Sanity's Crimson to arrive in my mailbox, as I had to special order this. I've also been enjoying After Forever's Decipher, a so-called "beauty and the beast" band. Other really good bands I like are Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Dissection, Opeth, Kovenant or Covenant, Brujeria, At the Gates, In Flames, Old Man's Child, and And Oceans. There's so many awesome metal bands out there, I only wish I could afford to buy half of my wishlist! And with Frank releasing three albums, (if you count the Purple Tape), I simply cannot keep up!
And System of a Down is good, but I haven't heard their Steal This Album! yet. How is it? |

Who doesn't like Motorhead. Yes, that was a rhetorical statement, not a question. Who doesn't like Motorhead. |

Motorhead are fucking brilliant, seen them 3 times and they are one of my fave live acts. Got on stage with them for their 25th Anniversary gig in Brixton 2000, they have recently released the dvd of that gig so there's a chance that Ive got a cameo role. |

I'm convinced Venom were the greatest metal band ever. Totally over the top. The first couple albums still hold up. The music always sounded like it was on verge of bursting apart but never did. The only time I saw them was at the Hollywood Palladium in '84. Abaddon had a double bass drum kit with "FUCKING" on the left drum and "CUNT" on the right. |

I am so much on the same page of listening tastes to Visiting Sasquatch. I think you just named all of my favorite bands. I love In Flames, Soilwork, Lacuna Coil, Entombed, Opeth, Kovenant, Moonspell, Sentenced, The Gathering, Lake Of Tears, Darkseed. I can go on and on. |

I liked to sit in the dark and listen to Entombed (sad eh? but not if your still into them:)!? during my teenage years but least not we forget the amazing Husker Du? and my good old friends Lawnmower Death and Ugly Kid Joe when we need a laugh!? The Final Count Down by Europe also brings a tear to my eye!
