now its my turn... i got songs for the death and i am far less than exceited about it. sure there are a few awesome songs, but in general, the album seems pretty bland and repetative. i dunno, ive only listened to it twice for that reason, maybe i need to give it a few more tries, but i dont really have much interest in doing so... do all of you guys like it?

i will admit i got it for christmas and really like it. i am not mad about the radio bits in between songs though... detracts from the fluency of the album methinks. still, no one knows is a cracking tune.
There may be no 'I' in team, but there's a 'ME' if you look hard enough. |

I think it's the best thing to come out in a long, long time. Much more deserving of a buzz than The Strokes/Hives/Vines/White Stripes consortium. This album really DOES sound like rock is back.
The radio bits do suck, but that's what the skip button's for.
Does anyone know what song Dean Ween is on? It sounds to me like he's singing "I'm Gonna Leave You"

It is truly rock. Therefore, it kicks ass. |

to the untrained ear, it sounds repetitive.
keep listening.

audioslave is a huge dissappointment, as is QOTSA - Rated R is a much better record than Songs for the Deaf

Audioslave are a far cry from RATM, but Ive been getting into their album more and more, its pretty good I reckon.... I'm looking forward to when Zack De La Rocha gets off of his arse to write his solo album. But I reckon Audio are better than what I expected... I agree a little about Chris Cornells voice though, sounds like he's having a wank whilst he's singing! |
