like it or dislike it?!
i got it the other day and was pleasantly surprised. the first single "in my place" was good but not great or anything. there are plenty of cool songs on it. check out "God Put a Smile Upon My Face" or "Clocks" for a better sample of the cd than "in my place" for those who havent heard it.

I think it's over produced. Too much layering. They have yet to capture the immediacy and power of their live performances.

I also think their lyrics are very mediocre.

yah i see what you mean about the lyrics, but i really dont pay too much attention to the lyrics. well they are important but if the songs are cool i could take lame lyrics (to some extent)

My mom loves Coldplay. She loved em before they even became a name in the US. So there, she's elite.
