when you guys start going to these shows coming up, you should try to spread the word about this message board. i mean if you can get like 2 or 3 more people from each show to come here, thatd be great, but you could probably get even more. I dont really see anything wrong with advertising for it since its a non profit thing, and it would just be for the goal of getting more people who are obviously interested in frank involved. What do you think?

That's a Street Team idea without having a street team. I wonder if anyone (some how I always look for others to do the work) could create flyers for each venue that advertise this web site along with the upcoming event. There is plenty of time to get creative.

Click the link to see flyers I saved from another band to get the idea.
http://burden-brothers.home.att.net/flyers.htm
They are jpg's on the page but to print them out I also have them saved as a pdf file.

Anyone?

i could work on making a poster type thing to print out, and then someone can rent a crop duster and well drop them all over philly! that would be pretty cool though becuase it'd serve 2 purposes, get people to the show, and then get people to the website to talk about the show

i should have been clearer. I was joking how quiet it was in here and that me and you were the only ones posting at the time and that I thought that I heard something.

sorry to interrupt your posting party, gentlemen (heh) but yeah, making posters is a good idea, unfortunately I'm probably gonna have to travel some distance to see him so I won't really have time to put up posters or anything, but I support the idea!

Okay, I know this isn't the best but you get the idea. I'm not (NOT) a graphics artist.

That's pretty sweet Thomas... If you could remake one with "Live at the Horseshoe" instead of "live in canada", that would be better. I'll post it around Hamilton when it gets a little closer to showtime.

Thanks and good idea, ya gotta give me a day.

Actually I wanted to know if the Maple Leaf thing was a bit much, me being a New Yorker and all, aye.

I was also thinking I should add the other acts, but Charles said they were only opening up on the US dates, or am I reading to much into it. Need more clarification and the venue website doesn't say either.

Hey Dave hook a brother up on your FB.net font to make it look official like, or is it god awfile and you don't want anything to do with it.

I don't know if that's such a good idea.

It makes the site appear "official" even though it isn't. There are plenty of people here now. Give the board time. When search engines get ahold of it and more sites begin linking to it, I'm sure the place will get much bigger.

Actually stopping now would probably be easyer than doing more. I'm easy. It certainly isn't the pay that made me do that (and bad I should add). Just something to do to promote shows and this site. I'm not on any payroll and would stop just as quick as I started if I were told to. Maybe using official was a bad choice of words, but I don't see SpinArt offering flyers to pass out before shows. Take it for what it's worth. Alright it's crap and I should keep my day job. :P

Here is the original. It seems to be a utility pole. Paint Shop can be fun.

how about something simple like

you should be able to fit about 6 of them on one sheet of paper. i know a lot of people after the philly shows wait outside and pass out all these papers to people. i usually read them over so that would be enough to spread word about the site.
