I've never been to see FB and the Catholics live. I have a question though on the recordings: who is who in the background singing? I'm just curious whose voice is whose on the recordings. Anyone know how I would be able to distinguish who is who in the background singing on the CDs? Thanks.

Dave M. sings background a lot, I think. As for telling who is who, I am not really sure.

Zan?

Dave Mc- Bass does a lot of Background as Dave M the second guitarist...think Dave Mc is the most memorible and noticeable of the two...he is the guy saying Heloise and Love your Brain.

also "I Gotta Move" has Dave on BGV's. That stands out quite a bit.

Yeah, Dave M is the most audible on the vox. As for the others, I know they are on some songs but it's really hard to tell any particular person.

Ok cool thanks. On the tune "I Will Run After You" it sounds like a very audible but diff background vocal. Anyone know who that is?

On the SSMVGD version, there seems to be two backing vocals: one low, one high. The BLD version seems to only have the low.

The one I have is the BLD version with just the low. Was wonderin who that was, seems Dave M's vocals aren't that low on the other recordings.

Ok thanks, that take care of two of them. I also saw that Eric Feldman and Rich Gilbert did vocals somewhere in the credits for BLD and probably did them in the more recent albums. Any idea if that's true?

when they do "hermaphroditos" live (and i presume in the studio too) the "hermaphroditos is my name part" is sung by dave mc, dave p, rich and frank (and maybe EDF too). its cool to see all 4 guitar slingers in front of their mics singing

If by married, you mean to his music; and by kids you mean his tunes.....you goddamn right he is.....ouch!

Yeah Frank is married, but it was theorized in another thread that he doesn't have kids. I think that was the thread "DRUGS!!!!"

speaking of Black Letter Day (the song) and background vocals.. so, is that Frank doing all the vocals, or is someone doing background vocals and doing a good Frank impersonation.
on the whole "don't cry, don't stop.." part.. i guess it could be him doing it but it almost seems like there's an overlap.

It's definitely someone doing background...it's Dave or Dave. I can't remember who did it live.

FB overdubs no vocals -- you can't going live to 2-track. Dave P. sings the "don't" parts in "BLD" as well as the most audible voc in "I Will Run..."
