id say the guitar solo i hate the most is the one in Layla, you know the part where the song completely changes. arg its so annoying and the slide guitar sounds out of tune at parts.

why is this forum so negative? "dumbest movie, worst guitar solo." everywhere else is "best" this and "best" that. you people depress the hell out of me. worst guitar solo is the one mdisanto likes the most.

Hey Jim --
Just kidding, my friend. You know I had to do that, right???
Come on, you know I can't bust anyone else on here, God forbid, I might get yelled at again...

Mr. El Barto,
I did Best Movie and you didn't reply to that. So don't say everyone is negative - I am trying! (hey, I also did Besides Frank about good music and so on and so forth) |

I'm sorry, I forgot that sarcasm doesn't shine through as well on the internet. Whenever I look like I'm being mean, read it as if I'm being sarcastic. 9/10 times I am. I didn't win the "Most Sarcastic" award in high school by sitting on my ass....

I understand, and I sympathize. There should be a "sacarstic" font or something - we could probably all utilize it. |

Shit, that's a great idea. The groups that come up with web/internet standards should seriously make a standard sarcasm font. I bet that would thwart a large number of internet fights.

No, whining is a completely DIFFERENT font. "Whine-dings",...or something clever. Damn. |

Well, I'm feeling sufficiently negative today to venture that I could live my whole life and never hear freakin' Free Bird again. Feh.
Okay, really I just wanted to hit 50 posts and get my little star. So sue me. |

Definitely ok to say "I don't want to hear Stairway to Heaven being played in any guitar shop by anyone on any guitar."
Like in Wayne's World, haha. that scene makes me laugh

I love bad solos! Ween has the best bad solos.
Smells like Teen Spirit is the ultimate punk / dada solo ever. Remember how every rock solo had to sound like Van Halen right before that came out? Then Kurt does a solo where just plays the melody and suddenly anyone can play rock guitar!
The original Poison guitarist sucks ass. What's his name, Sissy or something?

well purposely bad solos arent necessarily bad. like "I'm the man who loves you" by wilco has a funny solo in the beggining and i doubt jeff was taking himself too seriously when he recorded it since i know he can play better ones.
