i do count my blessings every day for having a shit hot accent.
also - some priests over here gave out saying it was degrading and offensive to the christian brothers (the paramilitary wing of the catholic church) - now THAT was funny.

The same place as the Beachcombers and the Red Hand Gang! If you find these two you will surely find the Littlest One.

count yourself lucky buddy! we had to make do with fortycoats (uurgh), bosco (yikes) and dhilin o deash (irish for something). with characters like 'seamus mc spud' and 'cornelius crow' it was all fun and games. as for the beachcombers - shame on you bren! cheers

The Red Hand Gang and Different Strokes were the fave shows in our house coz they were the only ones that had black kids in them.
The one show I really dug from the States was The Banana Splits - I thought it was the funniest thing ever to see those guys blunder around...

I was a huge fan of Johnny Quest, anyone else?? And did anyone else think his father was gay, with that weird "scientist" friend who was always tagging along. What was going on there? |

Hey Baz, go easy on Bosco! Does anyone remember the Uncle Bobby Show, or was that just a figment of my imagination? Johnny Quest.....all gay! Even the dog!

It may have been. All I remember is some creepy clown coming out of a closet and singing an alternative version of Happy Birthday to the kids. I think I remember watching it before or after the Friendly Giant.

How bout Time for Timer? Remember HIM?? He sang the "Hanker for a Hunka Cheese" song. Love that song. ("hanker for a hunka, a slice, a slab, a chunka...a snack that is a winner, and yet won't spoil my dinner...") |

“Hi! Time for Timer!”
He stopped your stomach’s rumbling, he hankered for a hunka cheese, he taught you how to make sunshine on a stick… His name was Timer, and he may have been the most popular yellow blob on television.
Remember him....how could someone forget. He was Captain Kangaroo's favourite time of the morning!
