Why don't you tell him that internet dating seems like a stretch for someone who has a certain someone (yourself) who is interested in him. It seems to me that if someone is going to try and be cryptic with their liking of a girl then they might not be completely honest with you once you are together. If there is a genuine interest on his part he should be able to express it. As far as telling you that he is 'so single' and attempting to try alternative ways of meeting other single women (all the while knowing full-well of your availability) seems to be a bit of a player to me. You seem so intelligent and nice. I don't think I would feel the need to be so (supposingly) shy and/or mean to you if I had a genuine interest in you. Honesty is the best policy. It allows your mind to be at ease. My mind plays terrible games with me when I do not know the truth. How many other women is he treating in this fashion? If he is deserving of you, that is your choice, not his! This may not help as the only thing that I seem to have in common with your 'drummer boy' is the fact that I too play the drums. In fact I am picking up my new snare tonight. I cannot wait. Anyways, I digress.

The thing is - we have now set this precident of being sort of ambivilant and guarded around each other and while I want that to stop it is hard to be the one to stop it and be like "here is what's up" - I would just junk it all if I didn't feel so strongly about the potential that is there. But that is all it is - POTENTIAL - and we have thusfar been not very good about doing anything to turn that into reality.
I am torn between just saying everything or just junking it all and moving on. It's really kind of silly at this point. I mean, we started out as very good FRIENDS and we can't say shit to each other now without being confused. Ahhhhh...
Thanks, all (Andy you too!!) - I am going to change the Henhouse to the Relationship Therapy House.

Ohhhhh, such a headache this morning! I knew I should have deleted those posts last night. I need some sort of posting-under-the influence penalty. Damned muscle relaxers. What can I say? They asked, I told.

How odd about your drummer boy's name. I have a Bob, and frequently call him Boob (but more as a term of affection than insult.) As to luhhhrrrve, nothing doing in that department until the kid goes back to preschool and he can start sneaking home at lunch time again. : ( |

Bob has many nicknames including (but not limited too) Stupid Bob, The Boob, Tequila Bob, and Sponge Bob. Good times.
