Hey, my dad's friend donated 100 dollars to a radio station and in return gets to play an hour of music. It's a popular radio show in Bedford Massachusettes called "Breakfast of Champions" (which can also be listened to on the internet...i'll post the link sometime), and he's asking me to help him with the tracklist. Naturally a Frank Black song's going in there, the question is which one? What do you think? And don't say "put nothing but Frank Black!!!" because obviously i can't do that..though it would be kinda funny. |

San Antonio, Tx or Southbound Bevy? As long as it is not Dance War you can pick anything from Frank's back catalogue. And if you play the Fall - how about Gut of the Quantifier? |

If you can only choose one song and you want to induce the curious to investigate further, how about "Two Spaces"? |

yah if youre gonna pick a song thats gonna get peoples attention itd have to be San Antonio, Headache, Two Spaces, Western Star, Billy Radcliffe. something like that. out of those i vote for Billy Radcliffe, its catchy as hell, nothing too wierd. i think people would like it.

Headache is the best known frank black song around. It's been played everywhere. So that would be your best bet for a response. However if you asked me I'd love to hear Czar or Jane or I Love Your Brain. Or for a more mello vib how about 85 Weeks or St. Francis or Calistan.

Argh, yeah this is hard. I was thinking San Antonio, but i can't think back to whether or not that was a song I immediately loved. Now it seems timeless, but on first listen to an unitiated Frank person..i can't think how it would sound. His catchiest, most radio-friendly tunes are probably Los Angeles, Headache, Men in Black, Billy Radcliff and If it Takes All Night, right? Hmm, maybe i'll just play Brackish Boy or Surf Epic. |

I would definitely play something off of either BLD or DW for sure. I would pick either 21 Reasons or Fields Of Marigold. They were the first songs that jumped out to me initially when I got his two new albums. |

Milk the time...Choose a lengthy one. But if I had to choose...it would be 'Los Angeles.' What about a Pixies song? I think 'All Over The World' is a great tune!

Pixies obviously would be cool to play, I'm only thinking since I believe it's a pretty good station, they probably played Pixies a lot back in the day, maybe even still occasionally, but the probably never play Frank Black, so I figure I'd use the opportunity to play a solo tune. |
