Apparently, the dude who wrote Millenium -Chris Carter a la X-files- is a big Pixies fan and named the character after his favourite musician...big ups to Frank!

I heard it from a valid source, however, I have yet to find evidence to back this up. Basically the story goes that Chris Carter was a pixies fan and also had an interest in the paranormal as a writer. Obviously the Pixies are great and talk about the paranormal so I guess the two fit hand and hand. When given the chance to write Millenium Carter paid hommage to Frank by naming the title character after his Pixies (and present) alter-ego and the rest is history... the Fact Frank contributed music to the X-files sound track backs this up a bit... I would think.
Maybe this post can be moved to the Frank Black side of the chat. Believe this is a valid question to ask Frank which he hopefully won't mind answering.
I don't think it's a coincidence that Milennium frank black is named frank black. I'm pretty sure Chris Carter likes the pixies. I want to say there is an interview where Chris Carter mentions Frank Black (ours), but don't quote me on that.
