The Marsist (primarily because I don't know how some of the sounds are made) and John The Revelator (just too powerful to overlook)

I'm quite partial to the intro of San Antonio, Texas at the moment. As for the outro... arrgghhh, the pressure, Llano del rio??

The Man Who Was Too Loud has a very energetic opening/intro as well. What opening song and ending/encore song would everyone like to hear?

i think san antonio deserves the vote for intro, though the whole instrumental beggining of jane is great
llano del rio is pretty cool for an outtro like someone said

I'll go w/ San Antonio also...can't beat that one. It sounds like someone jumping around on a hot-coal fretboard.
As for outtro, I'd take the helicopter swooshing in Los Angeles, however even FB with all his magic would be hard-pressed to recreate that one onstage.

The best into for me is from Whatever Happened to Pong? The best ending would have to be from The Man Who Was Too Loud, where he starts to reprise the intro and then says, "Aw, I better not."

I would say the intro I enjoy most is in His Kingly Cave, the outro would have to be the "false ending" in Robert the Onion that chord progression is just killer.
Oh yeah, Frank Black tomorrow in C'ville, so sweet I want to crap my pants.

I like the "Blast Off" intro. I mean including the intro after the intro. That little section. Wow.

Outro: SO Bay

I suggest you run a search for that, and for Sunday Sunny Mill Valley Groove Day, at this site. Not meaning to be flippant, at all, but that question has arisen a few times now and has been discussed at length on other threads.

Dave, guess I shoulda checked before I started this message, but do we have an FAQ section? Perhaps we could start with SSMVGD, and follow with whether you mind members constantly saying "Hey Dave, what about adding ...." But then, El Barto's database will cover SSMVGD. Speaking of which, it seems like it's getting near the end of November. Thanks. - Mel
