I agree with you. Billy Rad. or Jumpin' Beans maybe. My favourite might be John The Revelator. (even though it is not a FB song.) The song Nadine sounded like it had a really cool chorus.

I think I suggest San Antonio for everything (best intro/outro/guitar/chorus/song with a place in the title). And who can forget Dance War? |

Depends which album I am listening to. If there is a chorus I like on Monday then by Thursday I'll like a different one from a song I hadn't heard in a while and they will both be amazing.
I'm going to be very Canadian here and say they are all good.

I spilled beer on my Washburn chorus and now it won't turn off. Well, it might, but I just haven't tried it in a while. I bought it in Peterborough.
Has anyone ever been to the Peterborough Reptile Museum? If you're a big enough dickhead, they'll let you in for free. I wasn't a dick though; they let me in for free because I am J Mascis and I promised to write songs about some of the animals and put them on my new album.
Well, I didn't keep my promise because Watt said that it was the most retarded thing he's ever heard. He told me that if I go through with it, he's gonna kick my ass and tell Frank that I stole his Tele and I'm using it to write songs about animals frolicking in the zoo.
Who made up the word "zoo"? I would like to know this because I would like to meet the relatives of the guy that made up that word and tell them that their great great great great great great grandfather is not so great because he made up the world's stupidest word ever. Zoo. Has anyone seen the Zoodles can where the elephant has these massive testicles? |

are you really J Mascis? or are you just one of those imposters who pretend to be a famous person on the internet because it's not hard to type in "I am (insert celebrity here)".
As far as i can tell, you are trying way to hard to pretend like you are him. All your posts are way to bizarre and mention too many references to hanging out with Frank Black and stealing his guitars. I don't know how J Mascis is in real life, but, usually when well-known musicians make internet appearances, they don't bluntly say "I AM HIM!" Frankly, because no one would believe them.
My apologies if you are really him, then i'd feel stupid. Part of me thinks you are him, cuz who would waste their time pretending to be the lead singer of dinosaur jr. on the internet? But if you aren't him, please stop being a schizoid.

Hey, J (if that is your real name?) - how about if I call you Jerimiah? or maybe Jonesy or Joan of Ark? What in the hell were you doing in Peterborough? Let alone the Reptile Museum? Any interesting reptiles with fur? Just wondering?

Yeeeaa...
Hi Derek. Thanks for replying. It's too bad that I don't know you in real life because you sound like a real cool dude. You know that gesture people make with their hand, the one where you extend only the pinky and the thumb? It usually means "call me" or "hang loose". Well anyway, if I knew you, whenever I would tell someone that I'm gonna be hanging out with you, I'd make that sign. It's too bad cause I've been looking for an excuse to make that sign with my hand. I used to use it when I hung out with Frank, but he started getting annoyed and threatened to break my fingers if I did it again. He said: "you do that again Mascis and I'll break your fucking fingers". He was all red and shit and his head was sweating. Some say it was sweating ideas, but I say it was sweating anger cause he was really pissed. That's up for debate though.
Thanks for taking the time to reflect on whether I am who I say I am. You sound like a cat who really thinks things out, a real sharp shooter. You made some interesting and thought-provoking points. If I'm ever in your town, we should do lunch and you can enlighten me with some more inriguing facts. Maybe Frank can come too. What do you say? You, me, Frank and a couple big plates of fish and chips.
Brendan,
You can call me whatever you like, but it's much easier to write J than Joan of Ark. I don't remember seeing any *ahem* little furry things that were actual reptiles, but there was a turtle with a human head. He had big sideburns and smoked lots of cigarettes. He also wore one of those WW1 German helmets with the spike on the top. They also had an Esquilax -- a rabbit with the head of a horse, with the body of a rabbit, with the head of a rabbit. I also autographed a few turtles. The normal ones though. The one with the human head tried to bite me whenever I got close with my pen. |

Thanks J, (but I find it just as easy to type Joan of Ark) - but I won't. It will simply remain "J". That is what I have heard about those pesky human headed turtles....bastards of the deep. As they say - keep on truckin' and I give you the three pronged horn salute. I have never been sure if that was an appropriate gesture, but in this case it sure is. Rock on you fine figured guitar pickin' maestro!

Huh, J Mascis... on a frank black message board. I still can't tell if you are legit...
Interesting thing is, I'd heard Dinosaur Jr. music years before liking/hearing Frank Black. My brother had like 4 DJ albums, and i liked some of those songs, but I don't have access to them anymore. But I still know how to play some of "Feel the Pain" on guitar.
sure we'll do lunch J. How bout some Arby's.

I still contest that if it was J he would be able to post more updated photos of himself...his hair is completely white now and he wears glasses and he's gained just a few pounds, every picture he submits of himself is from 1994. |

Here's picture of frank with his glasses on. Did you know that Frank wore glasses? I didn't either. Maybe we should start a whole new thread about that. We can discuss whether or not Frank wears glasses. We can also talk about the dreams we've had where Frank is wearing glasses.

Here's a picture of Frank looking really pissed. You better watch your mouth or he'll kick your ass. Did you know that Frank sometimes grows a goatee? I didn't either. Maybe we should start a whole new thread about that. We can discuss why/when/where Frank grows a goatee. We can also talk about the dreams we've had where Frank has a goatee.
