Has anyone heard the song The Future is X-Rated by Matthew Good Band? The first lines seem like a reference to Monkey Gone To Heaven.. but who knows:

"There's holes up in the sky / The devil punch down to the monkeys"

Yeah it does sound like a pretty obvious reference. I haven't heard anything by MGB in years though so I don't know anything about it
