Im still waiting for mine, Ive complained to watchdog and Ive email trading standards to see if they were right to take the money in the first place and to see how long they legally have to give the refund.
Thankfully I have tickets now, that i didnt get from ticketweb.

£565!!! How many times did you click? Did you even get one ticket out of all that?

well my mystery has continued and grown. on top of getting charges £173 for last saturdays debacle, i now also have been charged £115 for wednesdays go. and all for no tickets from ticketweb!
but i got this email from them overnight: We are aware that on the 11 February you attempted to make a booking for the Pixies at the Carling Academy Brixton for either 4 or 5 of June. Unfortunately, although you were not successful, a technical problem may have resulted in a debit on your account. TicketWeb assures you that as of the 13 February, all debits caused by these problems will be refunded in full.
so fingers crossed.

I have a similar tale they charged me 3 lots of £113.50 on Tuesday and credited me back one lot of 113.50 on Tuesday which relate to my unsuccessful attempts to buy 4 tickets on Saturday and they charged me a further 4 lots of 113.50 today so far with no credits for my attempts to buy 4 tickets on Wednesday. So I am down £681.00 so far.
I have asked their Customer Services how much they think they have charged me and when they are to credit the amounts back to me but I have not had any response yet. I got the same email as Benji this morning so I suppose it shows they intend to sort the matter out. |

no refund, no ticket, not one and 20 pound charge for exceeding my balance for the honour, I have to provide in writing to ticketweb evidence that I am going to be charged before they will pay it.
Still bitter. |

hmmmmm
i'm still down the £230 from saturdays attempts (4 x 57.50, i was only trying to buy two tix, and didn't actually get any), i've then been charged three times £113.50 for wednesdays attempt (buying 4 tix), 1 lot of which is justified (got tix, woo hoo), and 1 lot has been credited. i'm just baffled to why they've credited me for one of the wednesday attempts before any of the saturday ones.
also whats particularly dubious is that after buying the 4 tickets on wednesday i tried to go through again to get 1 more ticket for a friend whose internet was down, and it wouldn't let me by another ticket on the same card, so how can it charge me so many times for tix on the same card by accident
i think i may just talk to the bank. ticketweb are bastards

Nothing here yet, and no reply to my email on Friday... hope I don't have to go down the tedious Trading Standards route... :/

They phoned me today and said "we're now in a position to offer you tickets to the show you tried to book" - the June 3rd show!!!
I didn't accept, still waiting for a ticket's refund, plus I don't trust them to get it right.
A shame, really.
So where did four tickets magically appear from?

Still no refund. Calls and e-mails aren't getting much more than the 'standard mail' treatment.

Ticketweb have partially redeemed themselves.
Having lost out on both Saturday and Wednesday - despite them charging my credit card each time (for which I have finally been refunded) - they rang me this morning and it turns out they have held some tickets back and are giving customers like myself first refusal (maximum 4 tickets). So after ringing them back to make sure it was legit (was uneasy about giving my credit card details to someone who had phoned me) I snagged 2 pairs of stalls tickets for the Fri/Sat (had already managed to get tickets for Wed/Thu from Wayahead). Not sure if I'm actually gonna go all four nights (it's very tempting though!). But if not, and my friends don't want them, I'll flog them at cost via this forum - anything to keep them out of the hands of the touts. |

i finally got the remainder of my refund. I have not been rung up about additional free tickets, but i haven't been home for a while, but it doesn't matter cause i have some anyways.
it is good that they're offering new ones first to failed buyers. however, i'll still never buy tickets from them again.

They have just phoned me and I have bought some tickets for the Wednesday and the Saturday Shows with no hesitation. I have already had the confirmation email from ticketweb.
This is the best news I have had since they announced the Brixton dates. I suppose all's well that ends well but the last two weeks have been pretty up and down on the emotional side. At least it has given me the chance to appreciate how much missing the Pixies was going to mean to me whereas if I had got the tickets with no problems it would just have been another gig.

You UK people are lucky that you can say "never again" to ticketweb since you have other options. In the US, you basically have to suffer ticketmaster and thier heafty service charges, or you're not getting tickets!

That is not the case unless you are willing not to go to certain events.
The week that ticketmaster took more than £600 from me for nothing I had to use them again to obtain a ticket for a Killers gig I wanted to attend.
It was a bit galling but at least things have been sorted out now. |

well the bastards havent rung and offered me squat, they are still holding over 200 quid that I have had to send a statement to them to prove they have took, they took my credit card over its limit and now I am being charged for it, I will never, I repeate never use them again. Last year they got minimum 1000 quids worth of custom out of me, so far this year around 200 quid, they will not get another penny, and I havent bought my festival tickets yet.

I think you should keep your fingers crossed that they might give you a call. I only got called this afternoon. I did actually reply to their e'mail informing me that I had not got any tickets from the first sale with a few caustic comments but I never got a reply. I also complained via their customer services.
I had given up on them and had already bought a ticket for £75 for the Friday night so it looks as though I will now be seeing them 3 nights out of the 4 at Brixton.
I am still thinking of doing the T in Park festival but I am holding off booking that until I see who else is on the line up and where else they are doing festivals and gigging in the UK. |
