I do the same Dean.
though i do follow the same pattern up to about 22 seconds, but after that it just moves too quickly and it becomes a total lottery for me.

just got 31.64 - quite easy once you get a rhythm going, and become one with the white space... but then i saw some of you guys have beaten me...

OK I tried this at school today and got like 70 seconds, dying on purpose. The school computers are very slow and I can only get 20 seconds at home, so I'm pretty sure most of you that are getting 80 seconds are on a slow computer

For variation, different body parts should be employed to control the mouse as ranked skill levels.
