quote: Cant believe ye're giving out about tickets costing £25!!!! Your lucky you don't live in Ireland. Saw the rolling stones in September - £55, Bowie in November - £58 and Alabama 3 in December - £35. £25 is nothing!!!!!
It's a rip off because there's basically no need for ticket prices to be this high. 25 pounds a ticket for 2 nights is 235000 pounds in ticket sales alone. Quite why you'd want to pay 55 quid to go and see the Stones is beyond me but each to their own - same as it is if you want to pay 25 pounds for this. There's no denying though that it's fleecing the fans for all they're worth. |

its disguisting. although, if you think of it as £6.25 a pixie, then its not that bad, considering most frank gig's you'd pay at least £10 per pixie. i havent considered the pixie to catholic ratio.

The alarm clock is set for 8:45am.
Any idea if you're more likely to get tickets buy phoning or booking online?
I only need tickets for myself and my lady, but I'll buy four and let two go for cost price if it would be useful to you lot. |

man, quite amazing that i flicked it on to XFM about 5 minutes before this was announced. when they said it was today i was like about to die (i was on the way to school), but then he said it was saturday (i orgasmed).
you guys probably have more "gig experience", do you think the first or second day of a gig at the same venue is better? |

when it says "No More Tickets Available Through TicketWeb" it doesn't actually mean they've sold out, just not on sale yet, RIGHT!? |

No they havn't sold out. I would watch when buying tickets from Ticketmaster/Ticketweb as I once tried for REM tickets and the link was on ticketmaster for ages and when it came to the time for selling them they switched all sales over to the ticketweb site without any warning. (ticketweb is tickermasters sister site) Have a few of the ticket agencies open in different windows/tabs and go for it! |

Would someone please travel up to Lincoln and shoot me.
I've just booked our summer family holiday in Northumberland for week commencing 31st May. Talk about immaculate timing. If they don't do any other headlining gigs I'm going to cry.

Unlikely unfortunately. They are supposed to be out of the country by the time August comes around so that rules out V (thankfully) and Reading/Leeds (sadly). |

Yup. I just saw that as well. Before today I had never heard of Stargreen before. Are they trustworthy? Anyone had bad dealings with them? I was looking to try them first for tickets as they might not be as popular as ticketweb etc. so it might not the usual scramble and disappointment. In their favour they do state only 4 tickets per card/household up front. Ticketweb and the others have no information on this matter. |

Horray!. I've already set my alarm and intend to buy tickets for both nights, despite the rather steep price, they'll be worth every penny. How quickly do you think they will sell out considering it hasn't been advertised in any magazines? |

They've always been okay in the past - I normally go to them first, but have to admit it's probably more out of habit than anything (they're just off Oxford Street and I used to look in their window whenever I went shopping around there - after that it was a case of sticking with the familiar when I phoned). They seem to be charging a lot for booking fees here though, and the sudden increase makes me a little uncomfortable....
I think shooz your best bet is to follow mozz's advice and have a few agencies' sites open in different windows - stargreen are fine if the price is - and on the couple of occasions I've used ticketweb (Radiohead and I think I used them for REM as well) they've been okay....

I reckon they will sell out within the day but I could be wrong.
Perhaps Stargreen came on here and saw all the excitement over the reunion and realised there could be more money in this for them than they originally thought
Hopefully some of us will get some extra tickets to sell to those who are not fortunate enough to get some. After all it's not just members of this site that will be getting them early tomorrow
As the great book says, 'Be prepared, for we know not the day nor the hour!!!'...............erm actually we do it's tomorrow at 9.00a.m. Man the bible was wrong!!! Quick someone tell all the Catholics the tickets are on sale tomorrow. Wait a minute!!! Frank will have already told his Catholics.........It's a conspiracy - AAAAAAAAGGHH!!!

Please, please, please, if anyone gets spares don't sell 'em on Ebay for top dollar. Touts are scumbags who fleece fans worse than any ticket agency, and the internet has just exacerbated this as they don't even have to hang around outside venues in the rain any more.
One of the most depressing things I've seen is the Glasto tickets on Ebay the day they went on sale last year. Sigh.
If you have extra please, as has been suggested, sell them here for what they cost you and maybe one day someone will do the same for you when you miss out on official tickets. |

Is it very likely, if not guaranteed, that they'll play at least one other English gig than Brixton?
I am torn between not wanting to go to Brixton but being worried I'll miss out on my favourite band.

I would be very surprised if the UK dates didn't include at least Manchester and Glasgow. The European tour is a long one so there will be plenty of dates to go around. If you miss one, there'll be lots of other opportunities I'm sure. |

I'm not too fussed about having to pay 35 quid to see Pixies at Brixton, thats if I can get tickets. Do you reckon this will sell out in minutes??

I'll be waiting on the phone lines at 8.45am (only a few hours away now!). Sometimes they open up the lines or allow online booking a few minutes before they are supposed to go on sale. I'll be trying to get four for each night (if I can), as will my friend- if I have any extras I'll offer them up here. Hopefully all the frankblack.net people will be able to go (if they can... ). |
