can anyone tell me if this is played with a non-standard tuning. it sounded like the high e was tuned up a half step but im still pretty new at guitar so im not so sure. if someone could confirm or deny this i would appreciate it. this is with the chords given on this site in the tabs section.

Why, with all are bombs and churches are we still afraid?

I don't believe the high E is tuned up higher. It sounds good from what the tab has.

Then again, it seems no one has any record of him playing this song live, so I guess no one can say they saw him tune it up. You never know..

Are you using a capo? ...maybe that's why he doesn't play it live? (besides on dits, yes i know)

Frank occasionally uses a capo live. I've seen it a couple times.

I think the tab for St. Francis sounds right. I don't see a reason to doubt it's accuracy.
