Yes. Dr.Bill Goodman, indeed
I know I'm getting the image of a deceitful and frauding person on this board. But this is quite funny
I posted this in 'last night a had the strangest dream'-forum of a while back, I won a prize on the internet and got some free cd's, number 4 was this one:
quote: 4. Fb double album, with lots of people playing on it, no catholics, new people, I don't recognize any of their names, crap, this cd doesn't exist, this is a dream, damn! Maybe this the NEW fb album (unreleased one, that comes in the spring), they send me an advance copy, great!
and then I woke up
Ok, so it's not the one of the spring (that's gonna be Frank Black Francis, although I dreamed a double album so that one was pretty close too) But A new album with lots of people, no catholics that I don't know the names of. And as I remember the dream, it were all banjoplayers and stuff. I foresaw it all along.
Who thinks I'm gifted?

Heh, Jop and chango, Dave & I had pretty much this exact conversation earlier today... trying to guess the new album and what exactly it was going to be. I figured solo since the Catholics, as Dave put it elsewhere, are on hiatus. I remembered Frank saying that he wanted to do more orchestration/complex arrangements with his new love of classical, and then a rumour of Nashville - much like, as I pointed out to Dave - Ween's 12 Golden Country Greats.
Seems logical, even if it's all guesswork still... hopefully we'll know soon.

I still think it's very likely that the next album (the one after 'FB Francis') will be made with the Catholics, along with whoever Frank's hiring outta NashVegas. Ever since Dog in the Sand additional musicians have been added into the Catholics' studio work.
My prediction for the next album: At least one or two songs on it will be about having a broken heart, your girl leaving you, and love gone wrong in general. I'm gonna go out on a limb. |

It's kinda hard to guess right now...there's the Nashville rumors, but lets not forget we've got the Pixies tour and the FBF CD(s) release..anything could happen between now and the summer....!

Y'all,
Uniting with some Nashville Session players isn't a shock given FB seems to be in a bit of a country vein at the moment and a vocal fan of Dylan. I was excited to see this may be in the mix considering when Dylan went down to Nashville and recorded "Nashville Skyline" he came back with a remarkable sounding album -super super tight- that remains one of my favourite records to date.
Those country session dudes are pretty serious players and I think they will be an excellent compliment to Frank.
