So if they tour in Canada, does anyone have any idea where? Probably the usual places? Bigger venues than the Catholics? Any ideas? Leads?

There's is a Pixies section, people. Make a mental note of where you are posting what, it's only polite.

I'd seriously doubt it would be anywhere but Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Maybe only 2 of those places if the warm-up tour is short.

No doubt. Actually, I've been looking for an excuse to fly to Vancouver also :)
Just saw in another thread that its an 11-date warm up tour, including Coachella. So, assuming the accuracy of that, given 10 other dates I doubt 3 of them would be in Canada. But, you never know...
Fuck it would be cool to see the Pixies at the Horseshoe in Toronto (ie. where Frank has been doing 3-5 days stands the last couple of tours)

It would be funny too if they did a show in Saskatchewan or Manitoba since FB has been taking a liking to those provinces lately.. |

Yeah, that would be pretty awesome Manny. Pretty damn freakin' awesome. Pretty holy crap all is right with the world awesome. Especially if they were to start there. Hahahaha.
But on a realistic note, I'd be happy to get a show anywhere within a 20 hour drive. :)

Yep, I'm in Toronto. So if there were 3 Canada dates, I'd almost certainly hit all 3 (Jetsgo flights to Vancouver are dirt dirt cheap right now)
Dave, quit teasing us like that. Spill the beans, man! :) |

Do you know the Jetsgo secret? Every Sunday at 2:00 am Eastern time, so Saturday after midnight, they put all kinds of seats on sale for 1$. These are seats that they know will not be purchased and that they want to fill. Usually you don't have much of a window for planning things though.. most flights leave within 1 or 2 weeks I think. But just so you know. Definitely worth checking.
Yeah, I hope we'll find out what Canadian cities they will be hitting up soon. I'm hoping they'll play here in Montreal. Now that I think of it, since they played their last show in Vancouver, they should start there and make their way east. Heheh. |

What're 'ya looking for, eebee? BTW, I recommend Saskatoon over Regina, ESPECIALLY in the summer.

Considering that it was indeed where they played their last show, Vancouver will be a sure bet (I was there, see pic below ). They've always seemed very fond of the city and had (and probably still have) a huge following there. I'm in San Francisco now and it'll likely that the band will play a show here before heading to Coachella which many bands seem to do before they play at the festival. Rather than move from Western Canada to East, I'd speculate the Pixies will play in Vancouver before moving down south on the West Coast. So, I'm making plans to head up north sometime in mid-late April to catch them there as well as in SF.

Dave, could you tell us if they are going to be announced at least a day before they go on sale? I hate when that happens - you need to prepare at the ticketmaster web site for this stuff!

I do not know about tourdates and sale dates..sorry kromkamp.
Benji - from what i know it'll be the Can & US dates, incl. Cochella. Hopefully the Euro dates will be in there too. Definitely the former tho.

Chartattack says today that:
"Tour dates have yet to be announced, but at least one of the 11 North American dates is rumoured to be in Canada."
So.. I think it would be Toronto rather than Vancouver. They would probably start out east and make their way west for the festival. Dave, any thoughts on whether there will be more than just one? |
