As much as I hoped this didnt happen, my main concern now is the size of the venues they'll be playing. I'd prefer if they played in clubs or concert halls with a maximum of 2000 (it will be bad enough to try and watch the show with every fucking asshole singing all the lyrics / I mean people need to prove how devoted they are and everything)....and i still dont want to pay more than 25$ a ticket! Do you think the Pixies 'buzz' will be big enough to thwart them into big arenas?

I was thinking about this myself. I don't know what you're familiar with, but I am from the East Coast - 2 hours from Philly and two from NYC. I figure the Electric Factory in Philly, Irving Plaza or Roseland in NYC. Maybe both for NYC. I don't think they will do arenas. I to don't want to pay more then $35 after all the taxes and fees. |

i know, all the shows confirmed so far are festivals, i hate festivals. i can't even stand more than one opening band. i'm in oakland, ca, and i'm hoping if they come here the biggest they'll play will be the henry j. kaiser or civic center, but it'd be even better at the warfiled or fillmore. i hope i have another option besides the coachella festival to see them. |

seeing the pixies in electric factory would be PERFECT however i see them playing at the tweeter center personally, its better than a stadium but still incredibly impersonal if you dont get pit tickets (if you do then its great). i dont mind paying a little more than 35 if its gonna be for good tickets. im also curious who would open for them, im sure itd be the standard, and annoying, two openers, but maybe they could get someone good.

I'm not against the reunion, but doing mostly festivals is not a good idea as far as the fans are concerned. If the goal is to make a lot of money, I guess that it makes sense and I don't have anything against it either. Frank is the best and thus deserve a shitload of money. Nevertheless I hope they're gonna do a decent tour. |

I don't care what it costs. I do hope in NYC they choose anything smaller than Roseland. that place is awful for shows. Bowery Ballroom for five nights in a row... now that sounds nice.
Of course since we're all dreaming here, then maybe the forum members get tipped off to a secret show before the bowery stint at the mercury lounge.
Last FB show I saw in nyc was a warsaw, in willamsburg and it was amazing. That would be nice with the pixies.
