does anyone know if he ever played this song live? also does anyone know what the effect is on the guitar solo, it sounds so cool.

I've read a review that claimed he played it live April 20, 2001, Cleveland, OH, Beachland Ballroom.. but that's unconfirmed (can anyone back that up, or know of a different occasion?).
As for the effect, is it ebow maybe?
