i downloaded a song called motherbanger with the pixies, its pretty perverted, but sounds like and early version of ive been tired. I think its off some tv show, since an announcer says they'll be raving it up with the pixies and leadsinger Jeff Black?! |

Motherbanger is not a pixies song. Someone has done an imitation of a pixies song. I have read about it from some webpage.

I heard the song "Motherbanger" on the Net, and it can't be anything else than a f***in' great Pixies song. Uncle Frank sounds mad on it! |

I have to disagree. I have yet to come across a Pixie's tune I have yet to hear previous in about five years. I doubt if it is a Pixies song.

Ha ha -- that's Chris Morris. I can't believe people actually thought it was the Pixies, although it *is* a very good parody! It was released as a flexi-disk on a long since dead UK magazine called Select. The guy doing the dorky DJ introduction (ie. Morris) is the same guy that then sings as "Jet Black"...
Chris Morris is a (sort of) UK comedian, but he's pretty reclusive, rarely does interviews, doesn't sell stuff in TV ads or anything like that, and he was spotted at an FB & C show last year in London (he used to play the Pixies on his radio show too)... mostly known for his *excellent* news/current affairs programme parodies, The Day Today and Brass Eye -- you can never take the news or any so-called documentary seriously ever again...
See ya, -- James L Boyd.

I did some research myself and discovered that, yes, it was chris Morris. I must say he had me fooled good. but in the retrospective it actually is a great parody, also lyrically it really reflects the pixies in their punk/death/art years |

Since I knew who Chris Morris was I was extremly shocked to find ye believing it was a real song. It's a great piss take, I love the ending.

Ok, shame on me! I'll have to listen to it a second time someday I could get a decent computer. Reminds me of how many directions Frank Black's vocals go in... When I had just discovered Doolittle in 1994 (right after my 1st FB album: Teenager Of The Year), I couldn't figure out who was singing, Kim Deal or Frank Black, so much high-pitched vocals. I guess Confusion is Sex! |

oops, forgot to say the incriminated gorgeous song was "Silver". When I first heard Doolittle, I actually couldn't believe it was FB singing, and released in 1989. I had the feeling it was both, in time and musically, right between The Doors and The Sex Pistols, especially a song such as "Dead". |
