ok so maybe i shouldn't be sharing this..but it's pretty reliable if you'll believe me..
the pixies had HUGE angry money issues and have split up again..
a very very good friend of mine..is in a band (won't mention any names) who shares the same booking agent with the pixies,they were confirmed for coachella as was my friends band..supposably they had a huge argument over money and stormed off ..
'you didn't hear this from me'
sooo maybe they just will not do coachella but maybe will continue with a tour or an album..who knows really.

If this does turn out to be true somehow...I don't really think it's a bad thing. Who wants to play with Kraftwerk and not headline either?!

I know some people who were trying to justify it with fucked up quotes like, "Radiohead has influenced more bands and people than the Pixies..."
Umm...NO! Radiohead wouldn't even be around were it not for the Pixies you fucking assholes!

| Cadena 100, a Spanish radio station has "confirmed" Pixies reunion for the Benicassim Festival (August 2004, Spain), with Radiohead and Kraftwerk too. Benicassim Fest site don't say anything about this bands. News soon. |

My cousin's ex-girlfriend once dated a guy who's brother new a girl who's uncle was in the music bussiness and his brother-in-law knows the sister of the guy who once dated someone who touched Kim Deal's hand and made eye contact. They say that the Pixies are going to reunite and play in front of hundreds of penguins in Antarctica. I mean...that's like my all time dream come true...I get to hang out and dance with penguins while listening to the Pixies live! I don't know about you..but I know a guy who's brother's friend's boyfriend's cousin's friend is a scientist who often goes meteorite hunting down there (the conditions are about the best place on earth to find meteorites...pretty cool stuff.) so I may be able to hitch a free ride. Maybe we can build an igloo and rely on other board member's body heat to survive..but we can call it a meet-up so we don't scare everyone away. Also...the first person we'll eat will be the person with the fewest posts. It's an elitist thing, I suppose...but once you're in the 500 club things change.

heard a very simillar thing yesterday from what i'd consider to be a very reliable source in the UK- money troubles largely related to Frank's management? that's the nuts and bolts of it but if anyone wants more details they're in a post at the forum at www.tastemusic.co.uk
