"VoVat" is actually a physics reference. Well, sort of. In my senior year of high school, the guy next to me pointed out that three of the variables he had written down spelled out "vat" (velocity, acceleration, time). I pointed out that, since he had initial velocity before that, the whole thing spelled out "VoVat," which I thought sounded cool. That was before I was on the Internet, but once I was, I decided "VoVat" would be a good username. I've used it for a lot of different forums and such.

Thanks for the tips everyone!
I have almost no appreciation for 'lineage', etc..so 'holding onto' my surname really has no significance to me...
That's not entirely true - it's the remnant of my childhood, which i'd rather have little or no association with, if you really want to get to the heart of it. ;) |

The question is: Are you looking for "that real tomato"? |

As part of my never-ending quest to become more humble, I went with 'Steak n Sabre' instead of 'Shredmaster General', 'High Epopt Of The Half-Stack', or 'Guitar God'.
Actually, it's that I can relate to that post bar time all night diner theme all too well...

Chris Knight is a character in the movie Real Genius, an actor from the old Brady Bunch TV show, a country music artist, and my real name. On most other message boards I go by my initials (CAK), which I currently use as a musician/band name. |

well mine is the name of a gay dog from a 70's childrens tv show... tho that wasn't why i chose it. i normally have another handle which i use everywhere, which is how Germans pronounce my first name, but for some unknown reason, i didn't use it here.

I wish I could change my username. But then I'd have to go from 800+ posts to 0, so I'm not sure. "vilain" is my real name, plus "de" for Denis. Just the standard e-mail account you get at the University.

It's my real name, too! . . . Or is it? No, just kidding, it is. Not Carl, Owen.
I did recently figure out that my name viewed upside down while squinting your eyes is pretty much a dead ringer for NEMO. So. |

My screen name is pretty lame. I do evolutionary biology and Darwin was a smart guy. So, the first day visiting this forum I picked his name out of the air and used it. Now it just seems lame to me. |

it was intended as McMikey, like the Irish. However if you want to think of it as MC Mikey, that's cool too, dawg, 'cause you know I'm keepin' it real up in this biatch wit' my bling-bling!

Psychic Twin is my band's name ...though when I first signed up on the forum, it was a name I had for my solo project (it has since evolved into a four-person thing, and I actually do about half of the songwriting now as opposed to all of it.)
We just finished mixing our self-recorded demo... I'm going to get a www.psychictwin.com site up and running real real soon, with mp3 samples. I would very much like everyone from the forum to give our stuff a listen and feel free to opine, but I need to get the ball rolling on this website first.
Anyone want to teach me how to use Dreamweaver? (; |

I'm not 100% sure I've actually got a favourite anymore, but if you're holding an imaginary gun to my head I'll say....Absolutely Bill's Mood, because in my experience that one tends to get the most animated reactions from those who have never heard it before.

Yeah, that's a good tune too. I used Become A Robot for a portion of a "fashion show" I performed at in high school, and I've never seen more bewildered looks. You post on one of the TMBG mailing lists, don't you?
