no one can argue you this. If you argue than I will have to take it as admittance that you have seen the movie. Poor, poor you. (and me!) Sweet Home Alabama! Enough said!
Strummer-man I had me a vision!
I bid a good-day to you sir! |

I have seen the original Japanese version of The Ring. It was OK but was also not scary and it certainly didn't make me want to see the Americanized version (since American remakes of foreign films generally suck). From what I've heard, the U.S. version actually explains alot more than the original.
I haven't seen these (and would never admit if I had) but don't forget Crossroads, Sorority Boys, and that Dana Carvey movie I can't even remember the title of.
The worst movie I actually paid to see this year was High Crimes and it wasn't awful, just very predictable.

Kung Pow... I refuse to watch it, everyone absolutely hates that movie... apparently it should have been about a 5 minute short...

This reminds me of when I and some buddies went to see "Mission to Mars", which already had "2001 knockoff" written all over it. Ignoring the attempts to duplicate Kubrick's stuff visually, we all were gagging ourselves from about the middle onward, trying not to disturb the patrons around us with our laughter. I mean when a movie is THAT BAD while trying to be taken seriosuly, it's wonderful. And "AI" was hardly better, aside from some cool visuals.

Don't know about "dumbest" movie, but most worthless, annoying movie was that 8 Mile piece of shit. Eminem is just a little bitch. |

the trailer for CHANGING LAN ES alone was absurd enough. i mean, just the title.. "changing lanes"?? how much more fucking banal can you get? other possible titles: "SIGNALING".. "PARALLEL PARKING" .. or, for something really sexy.. "CHECKING THE FLUIDS" eh??
btw - totally with JohnD on MISSION TO MARS. my girlfriend actually liked it, because she likes literally anything that's sci-fi.. but i was fucking laughing my ass off.. that's one of those films that's worth admission price to make fun of. (kind of like the recent FEMME FATALE)..

I'm actually loving the sappy Maid in Manhattan commercials on the air round my parts...it says something along the lines of "the girl who never gets noticed is about to get noticed" or something rediculus like that... It's fucking J-lo! Is the public to take a quantum leap and think she isn't still J-lo on the screen?
I think I like this movie the first time I saw it when I was 15 except it was called Pretty Woman.
Agreed there are some crappy movies coming out...
ps. I can't spell...is there spell check on this thing?

I loved that! So true. And also, I don't really like Julia Roberts - but somehow I feel much less saturated by her than by J.Lo. Why is she EVERYWHERE?? Does anyone else think she is just not very talented? She must have a GREAT agent and publicist. So sad, when Frank (and other excellent people) really have talent, but are somehow less KNOWN. Anyway...
girlie so groovy I want you to know... |

I didn't see "Changing Lanes", but the preview for it looked like a commercial for car insurance.

the ring was crap, acting was nothing good, storyline stunk, but your right the 1st victims face was cool. they totally ripped the face off the exorcist girl at the end though. |

The world exhists in Simulation my friend there is no such thing as new movies but rather degrees of newness -the several interesting books on the topic- just components and faces change.
I rekon' you could take any major hollywood movie and change it's components and eventually get back to the origional archotypical feature...If this wasn't the case why are new movies always reduced to their predicesors?
