What was your last CD purchase? Here's mine...

The Police box set, it supposedly contains everything they ever recorded and it's pretty good.
The Who box set, amazing collection I must say
Come on Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa, because years ago, my originals were stolen by thieving bastards!

haven't actually bought many cd's lately...last one was a 2nd copy of dits cause i didn't bring my original with me when i moved...
have been listening to live stuff alot - especially the fb 28/11 show which i seem to have had on repeat for the last 2 weeks, and the pixies 1991 brixton show - but these have been my newest arrivals, so i think they count.

I usually spend January seeking through CDs on sale and buying a lot of records just because they're cheap. Today I bought a Bryan Ferry ep and a Laurent Garnier ep for 1.99 euros each. Quantity primes over quality this month.

U Roy kicks ass.

With that out of the way, last week I got "The Iridium Controversy" by Birdsongs of the Mesozoic and the Evergreen CD. Also, at a used CD place I saw this disc called "Gratuitous Sax and Senseless Violins," I think the band is called Sparks. I'd never heard of them, but it just looked so interesting, I didn't even take the chance to listen to it at the store. Of course it was a letdown, but maybe I'll like it more someday.

Has anyone heard the Pope singing? I saw a record at the flea market last week from one of his concerts and I was wondering whether the guy's got a voice or if people just listen to it because he's the Pope.

Nothing is ever something.

The last CD I bought was the Minus Five's "I Don't Know Who I Am," but that was on Amazon, so I don't have it yet. The last CD I physically bought in a store was Cracker's "Gentleman's Blues."

Do you ever wonder who sells off CD's such as these? It boggles my mind. I saw a used Doolittle in a bin last week and stood in amazement. Actually the first Doolittle I bought was at a flea market for $1.00 unopened. That was the beginning of my Pixie fixation.
