| It's quite funny how dreams work, ive had countless dreams about seeing Frank live, buying new albums, even hearing new songs! Last night i dreamt that i had just bought a new rare official frank cd and i was listening to it...and was thinking how cool one of the songs was...it sounded a bit like dualing banjos from deliverance! Except it was different and in a Frank style! Besides that I can't really remember the other songs, i do remember they did sound like the same style as "Snake Oil". And for some weird reason when i put it in my DVD player, a Whitesnake song came on...which really did confuse and annoy me! haha. Anyone else had any weird/strange/cool dreams lately? |

I dreamt last night that I was back at 6form college, and I'd just got a new motorbike with a big white seat that looked like a bar of soap. Then it went missing when I went to college. I was sure someone had half-inched it but no-one believed me, they told me to keep looking. I must have looked everywhere, but it was nowhere to be seen.
I told them, but would they believe me? No...
Anyway, then I woke up and I never did find my motorbike.
's been a while since we had a dreams thread, so cool.
EDIT: Also, expect this to be moved by the Obergruppenfuhrers.

I have lot's of fb-pixies related dreams.
here's one:
Apperently I won a quiz on the internet, so I got 4 or 5 cd's in the mail.
1 was Dog in the Sand, I already own this one, but it's the spinart one with extra demo's! Yes!
2. Alien Lanes from GBV, I already own this one, but this is an American Import! Yes
3. Queen, I believe it was a night at the opera, I already own this one, and why did they send this to me?
4. Fb double album, with lots of people playing on it, no catholics, new people, I don't recognize any of their names, crap, this cd doesn't exist, this is a dream, damn! Maybe this the NEW fb album (unreleased one, that comes in the spring), they send me an advance copy, great!
and then I woke upp

I had one where Frank got me to come up and sit on the keys so Rich could do his lead work and Dave could sit on the pedal steel...

I had a dream a few months ago that I found a few rare Frank EPs at Best Buy. Not all that interesting, but definitely one that I'd like to have come true.

Perhaps due to reading this thread, I had another Frank-related dream last night, and a very disturbing one at that. I learned that Frank had died in some kind of motorcycle accident, when he was riding with Joey.

Frank and I were sitting by a pool.
He was putting together new song on his acoustic guitar. It was sort of in the same vein as 'Headache'
We were working out the harmonies.

I had a great dream a while ago.
For some reason I was walking around in a very nice big house inhabited by mentally handicapped people (like in the film 'The Idiots', but they were not pretending). They were all very cheerful, like people with Down syndrom can be. Then I discovered Kim Deal sitting next to one of these people, having quite a spontaneous and respectful conversation with him/her. Joey Santiago was in another corner, chatting and joking with some guys. Everybody was having a good time!
At some point somebody grabbed me by my arm and said, 'come on! they're gonna play!'. I was taken to a small in-door pool, with tropical plants and small fountains and everything, like a big porn producer would have in his villa, you know. And there, on a platform, were the Pixies!! Looking like just before the break-up, I guess. But there was no Francis/Deal tension at all. They played a lot of well-known songs, and the audience (including me) was enjoying it like crazy, and the Pixies were smiling all the time...
This was one of the best, gentlest dreams I ever had, as you can probably imagine! |

heh...and sometimes you do, Dean. I've mentioned this before, but I had a dream that Frank died. Glad I woke up. The weird thing is that I the dream in July of 2003, but the dream took place in June of 2003. I remember going to AllMusic, seeing "Frank Black: Died June 5, 2003", and thinking "hmm...FB died today".
