What song do you think will be played live first. My choice as stated in the 'MTV worst kept secret' thread is ROCK MUSIC. What do you think?
We'll need an 'on location reporter' for verification. Floop will you volunteer?
I wonder what, if any, radio mention they will get if there is a US tour. You know those radio promos where they tell you the band name and how many nights they are playing and in the background they play a few clips of there hit songs. Since they were never really a hit here in the States what 'hit songs' would they play in the background? MGTH? HCYM? La La Love you? If those were what they'd pick then you know they were not real Pixies fans.
What radio stations do they promote a tour on? They were never played on mainstream US radio.
Last but not least. What does Charles go by. Frank Black or Black Francis?
I'd rather they (the band) just e-mail me (or call) and tell me where to pick up my tickets at. Thanks.

I reckon cecilia ann followed by Rock Music.... or debaser. I hope they a wide range of songs from all albums not just from Surfer and Doolittle, which is what they seem to do on most of my bootlegs.
Crackity Jones is always a good starter...

That would be hugely funny. Someone thought Hey would be a good idea, and I agree with that, but I think either Caribou or Mr. Grieves would be even better.

I agree, Rock Music would be cool. I think the worst thing they could do is play Here Comes Your Man first.
Another thing they could do is have the stage completely dark, and have Kim do the "ahh ahh" from "Where is my Mind." Then Frank would say "Stop! ... We are NOT opening with this song!" Then they'd go into something else.

In the spirit of going alphabetically, I think they'll skip over Alec Eiffel and start the concert with Allison.
Alternately, they could start with U-Mass as a way of picking it up where they left off in their last concert.
Oh, and as for the radio promos, I think that Where Is My Mind would make the most sense. Most people may not remember the Pixies, but I'm sure a lot of them remember Fight Club. And if Black Francis is worried about nobody showing up, appealing to the masses may be the best idea to calm him needless fears. |

Rock Music, Planet Of Sound, River Euphrates, The Happening,
doesn't really matter since everything they'll play is fine with me,
Boom-Chicka-Boom would be a good surprise selection, itd be great to get another version of that, the radio session one that was just put on the ftp kind of disappointed me compared to how great the crappy recording that was around before sounded like that song could be. |
