Hi Guys and Gals - Been a lurker for ages and this is my first post. Became a pixies fan in 1989 when I heard the best song ever ( at the time ) on the jukebox Whilst drinking in my local pub. Didn't know who it was so went to the jukebox where it stated "Pixies - Debaser". It changed my life - I cut my long hair short and stopped going to acid house parties and found myself. Have been in Frank's cult ever since. Got all his solo's - Seen him 4 times in the uk - He is my favourite Artist of all time (I have over 150 CD's in my collection)so I listen to a lot of stuff. He just has something that no-one else has got. I am building an Ark to sail the Atlantic to attend the US shows if any Brits want to sail with me.

Welcome efc-wilks...I've personally only seen FB once....if the Pixies reform, a ticket to a show would be the greatest gift ever!

If you've been lurking for "ages" wouldn't you realise you put this thread in the wrong forum? I think this will be moved to General chat, that's my prediction.
Anyway, hello. Good luck with the Arc. |

It could also go into the oldest surviving thread on the board. Tell us how and when you found the PIXIES.
It should be a sticky for surviving this long.

That's not really for me, the wife and children routine restrict me from spending all my time on here. It's not easy devoting time being a boy anymore. |

By "people" I meant "guys". I occasionnally speak to girls who have under 500 CDs but only if they're under 20. Usually, I invite them home to show them my....collection.

I don't have 500 CDs. I have 451. But if you count vinyls, then you can talk to me.

i have more than that.i must have something like 1500 (not counting cdrs)cd's 100-150 vinyls and 120gb of mp3's.but i'm not sure that I want to talk to you for 2 reasons. 1:you use a new order lyric as a signature 2:i don't like other people using my method to impress 20year old girls.

This technique is as old as the old testament, buddy. The Persians new it, the Romans new it, and the fact that I am here proves that my Daddy new it.
Now virtually everyone's singing a Pixies song / But I still believe in the excellent joy of Frank Black |
