Hell I love that song. Nobody knows Tom Petty in France, and he plays really commercial music, but this song is SOOOOOOOO goooooooood.

From age 14 until 18, I lived in a small provincial town of southern France, and I exactly remember that period when it says "I feel summer creeping in and i'm tired of this town again"

I don't listen to tons of Tom Petty but I sure do like,

St Malo is on the Northwestern coast, in a region called Bretagne (which is particular because it is a celtic region). It is one of the most beautiful towns AND regions of France....my best friend is from St Malo. A famous French pirate, Surcouf, comes from there, as well as the writer Chateaubriand.

celtic, that's interesting as I happen to be of french/irish descent,ahh it makes so much sense now.

I know only one two words of their language, it's cider (pretty obvious) and ker (means pancake)...
When you go to St Malo, you eat pancakes and you drink cider, that's why.
