The man is a genious!
Day the Earth Stood Still and Marnie are two scores that make me shiver.

Don't forget Taxi Driver, which he turned in the score for right before he passed away.

I've never thought that the score for Taxi Driver fit very well.
It seemed to be too forced/heavy-handed.
It has been quite a while since I've seen the movie, though. (I'm thinking of the scene where Bickle kills the pimps/johns and collapses onto the couch.)

The "sexy, seventies saxaphone" thing does get a bit bothersome, but the string stuff is great I think.

Hermann did the score for North By Northwest, which I have a thread devoted to right here.

I was just going to mention NXNW, one of my all time favorite movies. I'll discuss in the NXNW thread, but Hermann ranks right up there with Lalo Schrifin, as far as me and husband are concerned. (Actually, Lalo Schrifin is a sentimental favorite of ours, as he has scored pretty much every Bronson and Eastwood flick ever made during the 70s, not to mention all Quinn-Martin productions)

He did THX as well, and I know there are others that can't remember right now.
