Going back to what Malax said about the Coen bros, what did you guys think of The Man Who Wasn't There? I was very impressed with it myself. One of those rare movies you could describe as "elegantly suspenseful". The only slightly major gripe I had with it was the length (maybe just one too many storyline twists), and that only after seeing it a second time.
I've not seen that yet I'll to try and get hold of it. I was watchin the evil dead 3 dvd last night and it seems they wrote a movie with Sam Raimi and it stars both him and Bruce Campbell. Hud something or other. Has anyone seen all their movies?
One great overlooked movie with a great twist at the end is Angel Heart. Has anyone seen this? The final revelation is much more rewarding and better forshadowed than in Fight Club, The Game, Six Sense, ext. It has Mickey Rourke in easily his best performance, and is actually probably one of the greatest performances of all time. I think it's the only film-noir horror movie too.
