Impress your Asian ladyfriends with this delicious recipe..
Ingredients:
1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper 1/4 teaspoon curry powder 3 garlic cloves, minced 2 chicken breasts 1 jalapeno or habanero pepper (optional) (floop's addition)
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in large zip-top plastic bag; add chicken. Seal and marinate in refrigerator for 4 hours, turning occasionally. (if feeling, adventurous, dice up a jalapeno pepper, or if you're truly worthy, a habanero pepper and add to ingredients) 2. Prepare grill. 3. Remove chicken from bag, reserving marinade. Place marinade in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, cook 1 minute. 4. Place chicken on grill rack coated with cooking spray, grill 20 minutes or until done, turning and basting frequently with the marinade. Garnish with lime wedges and green onion tops, if desired. Yield: 4 servings..
throw some corn on the cob and and bell peppers on the grill, maybe a baked potatoe, and you're all set. serve with beer of your choice.
if you follow these instructions, everything else will fall into place..

I was initially turned off by the use of "low-sodium" soy sauce (too damn healthy), but was pleased to see you offset that by serving beer with it. By the way, is that vertical structure in the picture the leg of your breakfast bar or a lap-dancing pole? |

sorry i didn't answer you before miguel. just regular curry powder. although i suppose you could use red.
seriously, this marinade is awesome. and really easy to make. it calls for 3 cloves of garlic but i usually like to put a little more in.
try it, you'll love it. |
