not that i nor most of us have any better ideas about where to go from here for the band known as frank black and the catholics but i suppose most of us have goofy things in our heads that we would like to see happen (or not)in the future. i would like to see frank black complete the 'I GOTTA MOVE' connection and have David Lynch bring this band with their 'FB&C mobile' equipment into his studio in L.A. -i was listeng to the 'wild at heart' soundtrack the other day and what they did with Nicholas Cage singing the Elvis songs tripped the visualization of Mr. Lynch actually producing some tunes with FB&CEEZ within his specific sound environment. it would be sweet. but that's just me. and then of course the relationship would snowball into Lynch filming them on tour and making the much needed sweet docu/film... WHAT'S YOUR WISH FOR FB&CO. ??...

O.K. -maybe a song you would like to see them cover (i know that has been done here, but it's a new year). my fresh thought for a cover song is that they should cover 'Amazing Grace' -catholics' style of course (faster and grittier than normal).

Can you just imagine the possibility of that? That would make for an excellent cinematic experience,
Or perhaps a Last Waltz style homage to The Pixies? You could have Bowie and Lou Reed and Morrissey and Peter Paul and Mary and Iggy Pop and The Kingston Trio and Bob Mould and have David Lynch film and direct.
That's my New Years dream entertainment project. |

I would like them to base their studio in Boston and play a show here once a week.

..or at least my practical wish is that they could do a 'soundstage' session for PBS. I saw that they have had sheryl crow on and i couldn't help but think "what the hell kind of history / back catalog does she have that rates her a gig on that show ". . . and then i remembered the radio saturation slime creature that crawls the earth and the satanic entities that feed it and before a vein popped i let it go . . . anyhow yoozKnowWhooz should get invited for a session. or at least Frank solo.
