Beyond The Man himself, Jason Falkner is probably my other all-time favorite artist/songwriter. His work is pure genius, and I hear that he has a new album in the works. I guess the one thing he has in common with FB is that he is an extremely underappreciated master of writing and performing beautiful pop melodies in the traditional sense.

If there are any other fans here, please chime in

I'm a big fan of his first two albums. There's some crap on there, but they're mostly great. He's an amazing musician as well. I'm glad he's putting something new out other than those Beatles cover albums. I'm assuming you're a Jellyfish fan as well?

Jellyfish are alright, but I was never a big fan. I discovered Jason Falkner through his short-lived band The Grays. Great stuff if you can still find the album, which is long out of print. He's also contributed to Eric Matthews' two albums (another great underappreciated songwriter who has seemingly gone missing).

I've not heard the Bedtime with the Beatles stuff yet. I'm inclined to think that I would be disappointed with it.

Jason has finally reclaimed jasonfalkner.com, and has set up a nice little site. There should be a new EP out soon, with an album to follow in the spring. I can't wait :)

Yeah I really like that Grays album. I only wish Jason sang lead the whole time. Jon Brion has many talents, but singing is not one of them...

I'll have to check out the new site. The old one was really annoying.
