I found it on ebay and it does not give a track listing. I own the original or single disc release, does this have extra stuff on it ? b sides? live tracks? unleased material?

Yeah, COR comes with a bonus CD. Track 1 on this bonus CD is called "Village of the Sun", track 2 is called "Baby, that's Art", track 3 is called "Everybody Got the Beat", and track 4 is called "Can I Get a Witness". These are all non-LP tracks. I could be wrong. Excellent question. |

Are these the same versions of those songs as is on "Oddballs?" This is worse than trying to collect GI Joe guys! |

They are the same recordings as those on Oddballs, however, the Oddballs tracks have been remastered to make em sound better.

The songs are also remixed, not just remastered, on Oddballs. (Like in "Baby, That's Art" the cool guitar is taken out.) I wouldn't necessarily say it makes em sound better. I think I prefer the original b-side/comp version of every song to its Oddballs counterpart. Although some tracks are a little longer (have the fade-out extended), so that's nice. |

The vocals for some of the songs are rerecorded for Oddballs also. I got rid of my Cult of Ray double CD years ago, but I think, of those 4 songs, "Village of the Sun" and "Everybody Got the Beat" have new vocals (tho' they're not radically different from the older vocal takes).
For me, the differences between the Oddballs versions and the original released versions are negligible. Unless you're a psycho collector, just get Oddballs and don't worry about the Cult of Ray 2xCD. |

Are you 100% sure some of the vocals were re-recorded?

I want to say I remember reading Frank himself say that he redid the vocals for some of the songs, but I have no source for that. And some of the vocal takes do sound different to me (I sold off of all those singles and things after buying Oddballs so I can't do an A-B comparison).
Being Wrong is something I've gotten used to over the years, though. I might be mistaken (and/or fooled somehow by remixing/remastering). So, no I can't say I'm 100% certain. |

"Baby That's Art" is one of my favourites. I've got the double COR, bought it on the day it came out here. Has the artwork changed since then? I saw it in a record shop the other day and it looked different. |

The artwork changed slightly with the re-release from Cooking Vinyl. The font is different, at least.

Hmmm...I was at a store in the commons in Ithaca, New York, and I saw a copy of The Cult of Ray on American Recordings, and the back cover looked different from the back cover of the CD copy that my brother has...very odd. (specifically, the font looked somewhat smaller) |
