So, we're wrapping up another one, folks. It was a bit of a hard year for me (my gramma passed away, I quit my job, etc) but there were good things too.

My personal best of 2003 are:

- I visited Capri (which is the prettiest place on earth, IMHO)
- I went to London and then to Scotland to meet that Percenter guy
- Frank sang Valentine for me
- I got into the Brighton, UK show. I almost cried when I thought I couldn't get in, and then almost cried when I did. Viva McDave!
- And lastly, just the requisite times of spending time with my friends and loved ones. It's cheesy, but to me, that is the whole point of being here.

So, what was great for you in 2003? Bring it!

And happy everything in 2004!!

Nope. My year sucked. Ummm, my husband got over his 4-month-long headache, and he doesn't seem to have a tumor. That was good!

We saw FB&tCs for the first time. At Little Brother's in Columbus this last summer. Finally. Was an incredible show.

A tree frog burrowed up out of our potted yarrow plant, after we had brought in all the plants from outside months ago. He is now happy and fat on crickets in a new aquarium. And oh-so cute. No idea yet what to name him/her. ?

There ya go! I tried. :)

Thank you. That's all I wanted.

You could name your frog Kermit. Or Muppet. I think that would be a good name for a pet.

Other that the blur that I see when i try to remember this year, I seem to recall a lot of crap covered in broken glass(and dreams). So my year pretty much was a drunken disappointment.

And now, your moment of zen...

In 2003:
- I bought a house
- I bought a car
- I saw FB & the Cs live in Lille (Frank didn't sing anything for me specifically but I enjoyed it all the same)
- I saw Kristin Hersh live in London and met her after the show and got to be in the select few who heard some exclusive 50 Foot Wave tracks (like, RAWK!!!)
- And I booked a trip to New Zealand that will be, no doubt, the highlight of 2004. Hurrah.

In 2003:

England winning the Rugby World Cup, by beating South Africa, France, Wales and the Convicts.
Finally arranging a date for marriage.
Writing a book that will soon be published, although hated every minute of writing it.
Having a few mates coming over and visiting me.

and SARS, that was a pretty interesting time here in Beijing.

I hope that drunken disappointment comment doesn't refer to that wonderful night you spent in my arms, both of us half-covered in whipped cream and sweat

2003 was a shitty year. I'm trying to remember if anything good happened to me... Oh yeah, my wife found a job in July. That was pretty cool. And I saw Frank Black 3 times in concert.
But I have high expectations for 2004, so I'm not that desperate.

Alright, I'll chime in as well. In 2003:

  • I remained single (woot!)

  • I kept my job through 3 rounds of layoffs (woot woot!!)

  • I wrote nearly 3 dozen songs (woot woot woot!!!)

  • I was best man in a Vegas wedding (woot!)

  • I suffered hearing damage on the flight back home (anti-woot)

  • Then I got most of my hearing back (woot woot woot!!!)

Thanks for asking, Ramona. 2003 saw me give up a job I couldn't stand and go back to the one I should never have left, saw me visit Bulgaria, saw my son pass all his exams and saw me see FB in concert again. Feeling pretty contented..peace and love to y'all.
