just curious if anyone has ever asked him or found in an interview what the story is about that song or the inspiration? In one tape I have from Long Beach he basically says its about long beach, to me its sort a kid on a skateboard odyssey, kind of an x-games meets sanford and son..

i know Frank was born in Long Beach and lived in and around the South Bay for a good part of his childhood (although he did move back and forth to the East Coast)..
to me it's kind of an ode to the South Bay.. the grimey, slimey aspect of it (the first part) and the beautiful, dreamy part of it too.. i think that there are definitely these two elements about a lot of Southern California coastal towns.. (including mine: Venice Beach)..

Its about a friend of Franks who is an avid skateboarder. "On the sidewalk, the shitty sidewalk. I'm glad I'm rolling off of my feet." Its that kinda of imagery I love about Frank. He talked about it, briefly, on the last tour. I went to about four shows on the last, so I'm not certain which show he explained it a bit, but he definatly mentioned it was about a skateboarder friend.
