For the notes on the E string in the verse ie (D/F# [EString 1,2] G) you can either play them with the thumb thats still on the 6th string from D/F# or with your fingers. I was just wondering how anyone else does it, cos i play the notes with my thumb, but it looks too odd to be the best way! sorry for the obscure and probably pointless question.
