in my opinion, you should check out the following...

Los Angeles
Headache
Two Reelers
Superbound
Cult of Ray
Western Star
Billy Radcliffe
Suffering
Blackrider
Coastline
Nadine
Manitoba

(I'm sure others will have plenty more suggestions!)

You really need 20 songs before you can decide? C'mon, take a leap of faith. Music should be dangerous. Let that ~16 dollars take a walk on the wild side....I would suggest buying Teenager of the Year, then the self-titled "Orange and/or Yellow" CD.

Yeah, don't download Frank Black, buy a CD (there are more than 20 songs on Teenager of Year).

Download Britney Spears !

true my other suggestion was going to be just buy teenager of the year, great place to start and I've seen it for about £10 over here in the UK, bargain for the number of classic tracks on there! I keep on trying to convince my friends to just buy it!

I'm flat out, you're so beautiful to look at when you cry. Freeze, don't move, you've been chosen as an extra in the movie adaptation of the sequal to your life. Shady Lane, everybody wants one, Shady Lane, everybody needs one.

Nothing beats actually having the fresh new album and artwork while listening to your purchased CD. Downloading it only cheapens the art.

True, you should buy The Very Best Of Frank Black & His Catholics.
[Warning: Fictional Product]
Pick twenty at random, I should. I would say you should have at least these on it though:
Los Angeles
Fu Manchu
Headache
Freedom Rock
(If I Want To Live On) Abstract Plain
Men In Black
All My Ghosts
I Need Peace
Bullet
Hermaphroditos
Robert Onion
St Francis Damn Disaster
Nadine
Manitoba
