I'm not seeing any books from looking online.

If I really had the time, I would write guitar chord-melodies for some of his songs... maybe when I retire in 40 years.

I assume you play piano, peruss? I've not found anything for it, but if you peruse Derek's lovely tabs you can usually put together a decent sounding version on the piano in short order. Although if you're tying in bass, rhythm, and lead guitar as well as melody line, it can get pretty tricky.

But in short, no, I've seen no official sheet music in any capacity.

Well, there obviously used to be some:

on Alec Eiffel it says they're "song books"..so I'm guessing it's guitar/piano/vocals

That's right! My older brother had the single "Velouria" for the piano. Where the hell he got it, good question. When I get home for christmas, I'll have to find and scan the piano music sheet. Put it in PDF or something.

Those were the exciting days of Mtv's 120 minutes.

It looks like the trompe one is guitar/piano/vocal and the doolittle is just guitar/vocal and I can't tell on Bossanova. I play piano mainly and I really don't like sheet music like this because it's always arranged for solo piano which makes it very different from the actual song so I usually just use the guitar chords and improvise. And really none of the Pixies songs have piano so it's kind of stupid to have piano parts arranged for solo piano when the song doesn't even have piano to begin with (I know Trompe has synths but that's completely different from what they would put in the book, but who knows, maybe it's not). It would be nice, however, to have a piano book for, oh, say Show Me Your Tears with the parts arranged exactly how they are on the record, but it's still pretty easy to figure out piano parts if you take the time to do it

Show Me Your Tears would be perfect for a complete transcription.

btw, I transcribed a while back the piano part for This Old Heartache and it's pretty much exactly the same, but I don't know how I could post it. I did it on a program called Amadeus Opus and there's no option to save it as a picture or anything but if anyone knows how, I can post it
