You can only listen to one or the other for the rest of your life.
Your ears will become deaf to one of these two records.
Which one would you rather be able to hear? |

This is too easy!
I must've heard Sgt Pepper's once or twice. I don't own it. I don't really care. I'm going with Mr Black!

since we're on the topic of the beatles, dont you guys think the lead guitar in 'dear prudence' and 'where is my mind' is quite similar?

No contest.
If you said, would you rather listen to the sounds that eminate from a piece of shit or cult of ray, it'd be the shit. |

How about a real contest? Sgt. Pepper or Pet Sounds?

I've been thinking of doing a song versus song from Srg. vs COR.
Say, you had to make one album combinding half the songs from each record. Which ones would you choose?
Too bad, for the Swimmer's sake, close ecounters with the sound of shit isn't included, because he'd rather hear the sound of a turd than anything from COR. |

Definitely Cult of Ray, cuz Sgt. Pepper doesn't have the Adventure and the Resolution, The Creature Crawling, or Jesus Was Right. I've heard Sgt. Pepper so many times that I could play it in my head if I really wanted to hear it. |

Since I've never heard Sgt. Pepper (yeah shame on me, I know) and I couldn't live without the Cult of Ray and this IS a Frank Black fansite, I would have to say COR

I love Sgt. Pepper and all... But, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, if one had to be snuffed out of existence forever, I would rather not have it be Cult of Ray.
so CoR is my keeper on this matter.

Man, pooor CoR! - everybody's dissin lately.
My vote is Cult of Ray. I mean "The Last Stand Of Shazeb Andleeb" "The Adventure and The Resolution" "I Don't Want to Hurt You" and "Jesus Was Right" man!! Sgt. Pepper is too removed - classic and all, but Frank speaks to me. |

Most of the time I find Frank to be PURE GENIUS.
Just didn't hit the water mark on COR. Not consistently.
Everything else he does is pure genius though. |

I agree, I love everything else he's done, but none of COR hits me aside from maybe the men in black song |
