Post punk?

I was listening to War/Subvert on the way into work this morning.

I can't really follow the latter half of the album. The live stuff seems stale and the synths turn me off completely.

The 'Wild About You' comp on Raven Records (Australian pressing, naturally) has all the studio stuff they recorded with Ed (3 LPs, some singles and a few unreleased tracks). Even if you own all the albums it's worth every penny. Honestly, if my house was on fire and I had 5 seconds to grab a CD and run, that's probably the one I'd take.

Aerial M - Can't say enough good things about them, Dave Pajo!) instrumental, ambient, almost classical in places, can't find a free mp3, here is another of Pajo's other projects http://www.epitonic.com/artists/papam.html

Aix Em Klemm (wonderful, just absolutley wonderful!!) mp3 is free here (Internet Explorer (ugh) is useful http://web3.epitonic.com/files/reg/songs/mp3/Aix_Em_Klemm-Sophteonal.mp3

All Scars ("Members of Fugazi, the Meta-matics, Beefeater and Fidelity Jones recorded this by themselves live, no overdubbing, one take...") kinda like a cross between Big Black, almost Jesus Lizard/Yow style vocals, and Fugazi guitar stylings....

Oh, I remembered another band. Ammonia. They had a minor hit in 1995 with Drugs. It went something like, "Drugs... and money... but there's nothing... I'm gonna do about it." That was basically the entire song, it was kind of catchy, but rather incomplete as a whole. I bought the album used for $5 and I must say, it's horribly boring. It sounds like Silverchair if they were less accomplished, so you can imagine how bad it is, since Silverchair's material is quite half-baked.

I had that Ammonia album for a couple of years. "Mint 500"

You're right. It was incredibly boring. And embarrassing.

There was a track called, "Little Death" that intro'd with the sound of a woman, well, humming/slurping that just made me cringe.
