One more great show tonight in Brussels. I decided only a few days ago to go in Belgium (I live in Lille, France)to see FB one more time on this tour, and I have to say that I don't regret! I'm too tired to make a great report of this show, but I can say that peole like me who had seen the gig in Lille last month and who came again this night are very lucky: Frank played 10 songs he hadn't played in Lille. Here is the setlist (not in order, I hope I don't forget any song):
Abstract Plain (as opener)
Robert Onion
Nimrod's Son (great version)
Cactus
Caribou
Where is my Mind
Velouria
Monkey gone to Heaven
Headache
Freedom Rock
666
I need Peace
The Black Rider (last before the encore)
California Bound
Jane the Queen of Love (yes!!!!!!!!!)
The Farewell Bend
How you went so far (I hoped they would played it, and they did)
Bullet
Whiskey in your Shoes
Nadine
My favorite Kiss (a real surprise, I didn't know they plyed it live)
New House of the Pope (I really missed this one in Lille. Really great version)
Horrible Day
Massif Central
This old Heartache (cool)

The only songs I really missed are Velvety (never heard it live) and Black Letter Day.

Like the reign of Mastodon, like the alleys of old Lyon

I knew I forgot some song: they also played "When will happiness find me again?".

Superb show. I'll try to upload some pictures later.

Even if you're Michael or Janet: it's a sad, sad planet.

Yes excellent show and WIDELY better than Lille one I also saw one month ago...Better sound, better set list, longer, better crowd (belgian crowd is the best I've ever seen...and it's a french who says that!)...Except End Of Miles was missing, the set list was perfect ! And it's so nice to see the band in such a great mood : Scott came with his baby before the show in the bar, then after the show we met Frank Black in the corridor, then Rich Gilbert came to the bar...
Hee the fan of the sister Deal who took lots of pictures are you there?

Yes, this was a great show. I think one of my favourites ever (and that includes The Clash, joe strummer at Acton Town Hall, the pixies first UK gig, sonic youth in the back room of a pub...)
The band really responded well to the crowd and this was LOUD show. Everyone was smiling. Frank was superb and sporting a goatee beard spent a lot of time smiling
Excellent. Can't wait for Shepherds Bush
