well, i've been there.
and about 30 or 40 other people (yeah, that's quite a lot...) really. man, i expected, there would be a big crowd of people. think i was the youngest person there. (i'm 16)

however,
my punk-cousin, who had never heard anything about frank black and the catholics, and me were sitting in front of the factory, wondering why the show did not start and drinking beer. suddenly, a cab came and frank black was there. the devil knows where he came from. she sang something with ''hello again'', i loughed and was too shy to ask for an autograph. ''the man'' looked a bit surprised and went into the factory. of course, we followed him.

it was a very good show (my first frank black concert ever).
i loved it. started with nadine. i forgot the order of the songs (too much beer) but they played 4 pixies-songs: caribou, where is my mind, cactus and monkey gone to heaven. and they played some of my favourite songs like black letter day, new house of the pope, robert onion and jane the queen of love.

serafin were great, too. although most people did not know them. (that includes me)

and (surprise) my cousin liked both of them, too.

after the show, frank disappeared quickly but i saw dave philips and rich gilbert at the ''alternativ dance night'' later.
david rocked out at metallica's st. anger if you want to know that.
i'm not going to give a comment about it.
and i saw the tourbus leaving at 3 o'clock or something in the morning.

all in all i can say that i did not get an autograph the whole evening - i know - i'm too fucking shy (i always wanted to use the word fucking here), i lost a ring, my feet still hurt and rich gilbert watched me while singing along all songs (is that rude?)

anyway,
you should know now that it was the best evening in my life.

thank you, frank black and the catholics. i hope you'll come back soon but i do not expect it. (40 people are not enough, are they?)

In Duesseldorf (11.11.2003) were about 100 people. Not many, either. But enough ! That's one of the reasons why I like Frank Black and the Catholics so much, because they make real good music, they would never fill a stadion like shitty (sorry for the word ) pretenders like Robbie Williams, or so.
